Piedmont Community Lacrosse Association is the governing body for recreational lacrosse in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.
All games will consist of two, 20 halves with a running clock.(The clock will not stop after goals).Teams will switch sides at every half.
There will be no overtime at any age level.Games will end on a tie.
Due to the running clock A GAME / HALF MAY NOT END ON A DEFENSIVE PENALTY. In the event of a defensive penalty within the Critical Scoring Area resulting in an expired clock, play will resume on the officials whistle. Trail Official will count :03 Seconds of play from point of Free Position at the whistle. During the :03 seconds, regular game rules exist, including the potential for another defensive foul, pass, a shot or a goal. All goal calls are final.
At any point during the game when there is a 5 goal lead, the team that is behind will be given the ball at the midfield line in lieu of a draw as long as the 5 goal lead is maintained for all age groups.
Score will be kept at every game.Scores will be recorded at each table and coaches will be asked to verify the score and sign the sheets prior to leaving the field
Quality playing time is in affect for the entire game.
All players are to play at their appropriate age group based on their birthdate.Any PCLA member team that has players they feel should “play up”, must request an exception and present a “just cause” to the PCLA board for approval.
